Christmas/New Year Opening Hours
 Second Image Printers & Copiers will be closed on the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th December and on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of January 2009.
We wiil be open from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Wednesday the 24th December and from 10.00am to 2.00pm on the 29th, 30th and 31st of December.
Normal office hours will resume on Monday 5th January 2009 - these are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday.
Low Cost Maintenance
Laser printers work using static electricity which holds the toner on to the photosensitive drum and an opposite charge attracts the toner from the drum to the paper. Laser printers get dirty inside from loose toner, paper dust and dust attracted by the static electricity. The best way to maintain your laser printer, and prolong its life, is to keep it clean.
The best way to keep it clean is to wipe it out each time you change a toner cartridge. Don't forget to clean under and around the printer.
You can use compressed air to blow excess dust out of your printer. Second Image Printers & Copiers can supply 300 gr cans of compressed air for $16 per can including GST. After you use compressed air run a dozen pages through your printer as the air will disturb dust and toner in places you can't reach and the first few pages will come out dirty.
You should also get your laser printer professionally cleaned annually. A competent technician will clean and service your printer in around 45 minutes to an hour and this will probably cost between $80 and $110.

Printer Repair GuyJanuary is traditionally a quiet month at Second Image Printers & Copiers so, to liven things up, we are offering to clean and service your laser printer for just $60, including GST. This is a saving of between $20 and $50.
For this price Second Image Printers & Copiers will send a Printer Repair Guy to your premises to clean and service your printer. But only during January 2009 and only for customers in the area between Levin and Upper Hutt.
This offer is for labour only. Any parts required will be charged for separately.
