Sometimes the quality of a company can be judged by what they do when things go wrong.

I had been a satisfied, repeat customer of Second Image until one day last week when I thought my luck had run out. The new cartridges I had just installed were playing up – my venerable old multifunction was flashing me a grumpy message that it couldn’t recognise the new inks I’d just installed.

Part of me felt that that was the risk you take if you buy cheap cartridges – but another part of me thought that there was a chance that it could be sorted out.

Well, I am so happy I followed it up. David responded really quickly, two new cartridges appeared as if by magic in my post box, complete with a courier bag to return the faulty ones at no cost to myself.

The new cartridges work perfectly and Second Image still have me as a happy customer – with an extra testimonial to a company that can take pride in their integrity and calibre of service.

Received the printer cartridge today.

I order many things on the internet and it's rare to find the personal attention as you have shown on this small order. Second Image is an excellent business. They have made my business life so much easier as I now have a firm that specialises in printers that I can go directly to for supplies, advice and service. My business mainly (although not exclusively) involves the production of high quality technical publications for engineering manufacturers. For a number of years I found it very frustrating when trying to organise printer servicing and discovering the specialists at Second Image has ultimately saved me both time and money.

They perform 'on site' servicing, will collect and deliver if 'off site' servicing is required, and will if asked act as intermediary with third party servicing. Their technicians are skilled, efficient and clearly know the equipment they service.

Second Image's service is prompt and friendly. In fact it is the extra little friendly touches that make dealing with Second Image a pleasure and elevate them above the ordinary run of similar types of business.

I have never had any complaints or problems in the time that I have been dealing with Second Image and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other businesses.

We have been using recycled cartridges for our HP laserjet printers from Second Image since June 1996. We have found the Service from Second Image excellent. Any problems that have occurred have been corrected promptly and when we have not ordered in time David Hickman has gone out of his way to provide replacement cartridges. An additional service we have found useful is David will come to our work and provide a clean up and roller replacement of the printers. This avoids the down time and inconvenience of having to send the printer away for servicing.

One thing we have found very gratifying is the way we do business with Second Image. We really like the convenience of "just in time" supply, especially with our laser toner cartridges. We are able to pop in and pick up a new cartridge when our current one is close to the end of its life, and return the old one as an exchange when it is finally used up. That, and the knowledge that you always have good supply, saves us the need to hold stocks. (The refilled cartridges have also given greater printing life than our original OEM cartridge did.)

Since Second Image was formed some eleven years ago I have been an enthusiastic consumer of the company's goods and services. The prices offered on consumables are as good as I've encountered anywhere, which is the area of business where Second Image Ltd unashamedly and accurately trumpets its competitive edge.

However, there's more to Second Image than re-cycled cartridges and the like. I have also purchased fax machines and printers and have also found their pricing to be marvellously competitive and the back-up service exemplary.

Boyd Aluminium have been a customer of Second Image for many years, I personally have dealt with them for the 3 years I have worked at Boyd's.

Any problems with our Fax machine or laser printer are quickly dealt with by David and his team who have also supplied us a loan machine while our one has been out of action so our business is not interrupted. We also purchase our printer and fax cartridges from them.

From time to time I have been approached by other firms promoting the cartridges we get off Second Image but have found that David offers a very competitive price for the ones we use and has always got one in stock for when we need a replacement.
